2013 National Earthquake Program Managers Meeting

Seattle, WA - courtesy wikipedia.org

The 2013 National Earthquake Program Managers meeting will be held at the Marriott Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union in Seattle, Washington on April 30 to May 1, 2013 with an optional FEMA National Earthquake Technical Assistance Training scheduled for the morning of May 2, 2013. In addition, the Western States Seismic Policy Council (WSSPC) Awards in Excellence banquet will be held on May 2, 2013.

The goal of the meeting is to continue dialogue and relationship building between State Earthquake Program Managers and key stakeholders as well as to carry forward the tremendous momentum from last year’s National Earthquake Conference in Memphis.  By bringing together federal, regional and state earthquake programs, as well as the earthquake consortia, attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of the “state” of the earthquake program on multiple levels, learn about current best practices, and perhaps identify strategic partnerships that can be developed and leveraged to improve and promote earthquake safety.
